What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Quality of Life and Memory Care position at HDG, Inc.?
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Quality of Life
- Works within HDG’s Caring Above and Beyond (CAAB) framework to develop, coordinate and implement all quality-of-life programming including : culinary experience, activities, wellness and purpose, therapeutic recreation, spiritual, and volunteers.
- Evaluates overall community performance of Enrichment Beyond Expectations (EBE) Core Processes as it relates to Quality-of-Life Programs such as Culinary, Life Enrichment, Memory Care, Volunteer Programs.
- Serves as a resource for HDG care team members in support of our resident experience.
- Analyzes and utilizes resident and family experience, quantitative and qualitative feedback and metrics from a variety of sources, including resident and family satisfaction surveys, complaint / concern information, and direct observation. This information will be used to formulate recommendations for improving our resident experience.
- Engages with and educates all staff on the principles of the CAAB and EBE through participation in HDG’s orientation and meetings on an ongoing basis.
- Partners with the Quality Leadership Team (QLT) to embody and champion the HDG CAAB culture and core values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Integrity, Respect, and Humor.
- Leads and develops HDG’s Customer Experience – EBE and ensures it is “alive” in each of our communities; ensures ground up implementation in all new developments.
- Provides training on processes, systems development and action teams as needed throughout the organization as it relates to Quality-of-Life programming and day-to-day integration at HDG. Develops and updates training materials as needed.
- Participates in Quality Leadership Team (QLT).
- Visits HDG MCs on an on-going basis to support and guidance for EBE and Quality programming.
- Assists others in identifying root causes of problems, along with the development of action plans that will enhance programs, departmental effectiveness and or systemic changes as requested.
- Develops collaborative working relationship with the Operations Leadership Team (OLT), Quality Leadership Team (QLT) and Corporate staff to implement and sustain EBE programs in all communities.
- Maintains the Quality-of-Life budget as approved.
- Performs analysis connecting training program efforts to changes in patient experience survey performance.
Memory Care
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Recreation Therapy, Nursing or related field or a combination of education and experience.
Passionate about improving the patients’ experience of care.
Demonstrated ability to educate, transfer knowledge and influence team members.
Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple communities / projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
