Summary/Objective:
This is an entry level position in the underwriting department for the Underwriting Services Team. The Underwriting Services Associate is primarily responsible for reviewing and ensuring that all data is accurately entered into various systems for different lines of business. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a desire to work and learn in a team environment.
Requirements
- Use data provided by the underwriter to provide accurate data for quotes on new and renewal business
- Use systems for premium allocation and invoicing
- Issue policies, endorsements, and cancellations
- Finalize and enter policies and premium into systems within established service standards
- Participate in special projects/assignments at direction of Underwriting Services Team Leader
- Assist in training new team members
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal, reading and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
