What are the responsibilities and job description for the Positive Behavior Intervention Specialist (PBIS) position at Head Injury Association?
Head Injury Association is seeking qualified Positive Behavior Intervention Specialist (PBIS) staff to provide services individuals supported in our programs. The PBIS services are provided to Department of Health (DOH) participants who have behavioral difficulties that jeopardize their ability to remain in the community of choice due to inappropriate responses to events in the environment. The primary goal of PBIS services is to decrease the intensity or frequency of targeted behaviors and to teach more socially appropriate behaviors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Psychology OR
- Registered Professional Nurse (licensed by NYS Education Dept) OR
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (licensed by NYS Education Dept) OR
- Licensed Physical Therapist (licensed by NYS Education Dept) OR
- A Bachelor’s degree and certified in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) OR
- Individual with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Certified TBI Specialist OR
- A certified rehabilitation Counselor (certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification) OR
AND
- Must have two years of experience developing and implementing intensive behavioral plans
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
