Overview:
Responsible for maintaining the safety of residents and facility and provide understanding and direction to the clients in program. Monitor the Staffs in the fulfillment of their tasks
Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure that the premises of the shelter are secure and well-maintained during her or his shift.
- Attend to physical, emotional, and circumstantial needs of the residents as they arise during your shift and mediate interpersonal difficulties between resident or residents.
- Immediately alert your Site Manager if a family leaves the shelter unexpectedly or is not adhering to the agreed upon rules.
- Call your Site Manager if unsure of procedure to follow in case an unexpected situation arises with any of the families.
- Inform all maintenance problems in writing through the maintenance report. Trying to fix it is if possible.
- Perform rounds at the beginning with the outgoing Staff, in the middle of the shift and in the end of your shift with the Staff who is receiving the shift. Make sure there are not unauthorized persons, and the properties are clean.
- Take out the garbage.
- Be aware that children are always under the supervision of their parents, as it is not permissible for children to be alone in the areas.
- Verify that all house duties are done by each resident.
- Complete the chores assigned for your shift, keep shelter clean and restock supplies.
- Carry out the room inspections as established, completing the report “Room inspections”.
- Prepare the list of food, meats, and cleaning supplies every two months.
- Prepare the chores’ schedule every week.
- Coordinate the Staff’s schedule.
- Coordinate meal schedule and cooking with mindful of available inventory.
- Complete all documentation responsibilities and maintain the confidentiality of all information relating to the individuals supported by CNV.
- Maintains written and oral communication of incidents in accordance with policies.
- Inform all maintenance problems in writing through the maintenance report. To fix it is if possible.
- Mediate when families have some conflict, in dangerous situation call 911.
- Attends staff meetings and participates in activities designated by the Site Manager
- Adhere to agency policy, procedures, and professional code of ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Cubicle space within large office building; prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer, OR, requires equal amounts of sitting and standing, must be able to climb stairs. Office is open to the public and visitors only by appointment. Position requires a minimum of four days onsite. Office is climate controlled with heat and air conditioning.
