Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mechanical Claims Adjuster to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and resolving claims related to various types of automotive, RV and powersports vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for mechanical claims details, and a solid understanding of service contracts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Extended Service Contract (Warranty) Auto, Power Sports & RV claims adjuster.
- Previous Automotive Mechanical Claims Adjuster Experience.
- Automotive, Power Sports & RV (Motorhome & Travel Trailer) mechanical knowledge inclusive of Heavy line, minor components and their respective functions.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google search.
- Initiative in learning the operations and daily tasks necessary.
- Motivation to grow within the company.
- Teamwork capabilities and desire to assist other team members during high workload scenarios.
- Ability to de-escalate customer disputes and mitigate elevated interactions.
- Punctuality in office and work from home schedules.
- Adaptability in learning new systems and procedures.
- Good level of interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity.
- Work well with team members and other departments.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal form.
- Basic contract document comprehension.
- Good ethical decision-making skills.
- Excellent organization and time management, ability to follow up in an appropriate amount of time.
- Able to verify and/or negotiate parts pricing and verify applicable labor times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Claims Adjuster or in a similar role within the service contract industry.
- Strong understanding of automotive and service contracts.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Proficient in using software for documentation and analysis purposes.
- Exceptional analytical skills to assess complex information effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate fair claims adjudication while protecting company interests.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with clients.
