What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Healing Hearts Treatment Center?
Qualifications: The Medical Receptionist will be a trained front office person with exceptional organizational and communication skills. Must be knowledgeable in computer programs and general office equipment. He/She must have a high school diploma or higher. He / She must have training in confidentiality laws as well as training and or experience working with medical records and the general public. There is no history of alcohol or other drug misuse of a period of three years before employment as a clerk.
Qualities of Work: The employee works under the supervision of the CEO and Program Director. He / She is knowledgeable of all State of Maryland and federal regulations, including accreditation agency standards applicable to an opioid treatment program. He / She has knowledge of and is culturally sensitive to the problems of the patients of this clinic. Conducts self professionally at all times.
Responsibilities: The employee is responsible for the following:
*Processing patient applications and admissions which have been approved by the Program Director.
*Responsible for preparing patient records for admission and reviewing admission criteria.
*Responsible for receptionist duties that include, telephone answering, recording messages and ordering supplies.
*Responsible for accepting payments and recording receipts to the individual patient ledger.
*Responsible for processing Third Party Payer Insurance copays.
*Responsible for timely, accurate and complete cash and credit application to patient accounts.
*Responsible for timely, complete and accurate financial reporting to the corporate office.
*Manages the summarization of timecards and submits time summary to corporate office.
*Manages timely and accurate submission of daily cash reports to the corporate office.
*Submits revenue by service classification to the corporate office on a monthly basis
*Assists in providing additional financial analysis as needed.
This employee will have access to confidential patient information and will obey all Maryland, Federal and Local laws and/or regulations pertaining to confidentiality and HIPPA This individual will have a working knowledge of the clinic and will assist in all areas in which He / She has received training. Other duties as assigned
