Annually Employees receive 12 paid holidays; 20 Paid-Time-Off (PTO) days per year after the employee has been employed FTE (32 hrs. ) and achieved successful 90-days performance evaluation rating.

403(b) Thrift Savings Plan with the HL7N maximum pension contribution of 6%, completed 12 months of employment (2,080 hrs.) and successful performance evaluation rating.

Healing Lodge employment may qualify for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program as well as loan repayment through Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)

About the Company

The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is a youth residential treatment facility which provides a safe and caring healing environment for adolescents in need. Located on 51 acres, our wellness program provides a peaceful environment for treatment balanced in traditional, cultural and spiritual values and practices. These values and practices foster respect, honesty, generosity, strong cultural identification and hope for positive life changes. The Healing Lodge treatment program integrates traditional, spiritual and cultural values with chemical dependency and mental health counseling to create a holistic approach toward healing. Residents include both Native American and non-Native from all areas of the country.

About the Position

The SUDP Clinical Supervisor supports, mentors, and supervises clinical and non-clinical staff in the continuing development of their skills, knowledge, and attitudes. Monitors the competency of each SUDP's assessment, treatment, continuing care, transfer, and discharge. Works with the Family & Wellness Clinic Director to assure adherence to agency, county, state, and accreditation standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following . Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

Be knowledgeable about ASAM criteria and co-occurring disorders to distinguish care between substance use and mental health disorder, supporting the integrated behavioral health services.

Ensures that cases are presented in an organized and efficient manner and all relevant assessment data is integrated into the treatment planning for each patient including information from family, community, and referral sources.

Reviews the counselor's case presentation and provides regular guidance on working with the patient. Mentors and coaches counseling staff as needed.

Plan and facilitate regularly scheduled clinical supervision meetings.

Guides and mentors' clinical staff in fulfillment of WAC, medical billing and accreditation standards and organization policies and procedures. Reports violations or concerns to FWHC Director.

Ensures clinical and patient records are properly maintained, complete and up to date, and reflect quality patient care.

Performs a semi-annual review of a sample of the clinical records kept by each SUDP.

Performs individual and / or group counseling sessions when regular counseling staff is not available.

Establishes and maintains quality liaisons with agencies, community groups, and other resources that may be referred to patients. Coordinate care across system and within community partners.

Conduct regular caseload consultation with primary care team to communicate resulting treatment recommendations to the patient's other care team members.

Oversee licensed and non-licensed staff in the Substance Use program.

Develop and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.

Recruit, hire, orient, evaluate and develop clinical and non-clinical staff.

Report critical incidents to direct supervisor.

Attending group therapy and individual sessions periodically to provide feedback to clinicians and assess effectiveness of curricula, approach and program materials.

Assist in quality improvement activities : review utilization data, establish outcome to measure, etc. Provide quarterly reporting and other compliance required reports as necessary.

Represent the organization in community education and engagement. Participate in community outreach events and networking opportunities to enhance program's success and utilization.

Execute special studies, projects and other tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities :

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; mentoring and coaching employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and / or Experience :

Associates Degree in Chemical Dependency (Bachelor's Degree preferred); and three years related experience and / or training in a supervisory role in the field of substance abuse and / or behavioral health; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of State, Federal, Indian Health Services, and licensing, certification, and accreditation requirements preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations :

Must have a current Washington State Department of Health SUDP license with no restrictions / enforcement action.

Must maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License for frequent travel and usage of The Healing Lodge vehicles. Must meet minimum requirements to provide for clinical supervision based on WAC 246-811-049.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic computer skills, including working knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint. Must be knowledgeable in an EHR system.
