What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position at Healing Minds Psychiatry, LLC?
Our rapidly growing integrated behavioral health practice is seeking well-rounded Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our team. Our primary location is in Tiverton, RI and we proudly serve individuals in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Ideal candidates will possess an active license in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and have experience in providing high-quality behavioral health care to individuals across the lifespan. Strong preference will be given to candidates who are currently credentialed with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult and pediatric clients.
- Diagnose mental health conditions using the DSM-5.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy, when indicated.
- Monitor medication effectiveness and adjust dosages as needed.
- Provide patient education and support regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts
- Current DEA licensure
- Experience with medication management for a variety of mental health conditions
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in the use of technology to deliver patient care
- Competency in delivering effective care to diverse populations
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Top candidates will have current licensure as a PMHNP in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
- Prior credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plans in Rhode Island and / or Massachusetts.
- Two years of clinical experience in a PMHNP role.
