What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychologist II @ Rio Grande State Center position at Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)?
The Psychologist III performs advanced and / or managerial (senior level) psychological work. Work involves coordinating psychological activities and programs, conducting psychological evaluations, diagnosing, and counseling clients, and conducting psychological research. May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The Psychologist is accountable to the Psychology Manager. Must have a PhD in Psychology. Work involves conducting psychological evaluations, diagnosing, and counseling clients, testing, and working with the treatment team. Will provide clinical supervision to the psychology department. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The Psychology Services Manager provides clinical supervisions, consultation, and technical assistance to program staff. The Psychologist provided clinical supervision, consultation, and technical assistance to program staff. Compliance with HHS Immunization Policy required : serologic evidence of immunity to, or documented evidence of vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox), Tdap, annual vaccinations against influenza and hepatitis B (if applicable).
