Description of the role:
Health Care Connectors is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers (CNA, HHA, PCA) to join our team in Milford, Connecticut. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to our clients. This position offers morning and afternoon shifts on weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Monitor clients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with mobility and transfers
Requirements:
- Valid CNA, HHA, or PCA certification
- Prior experience in caregiving or a similar role is preferred
- Assisting with daily living activities
- Providing companionship
- Accompanying the client in a transport van to a scheduled doctor's appointment on Saturdays
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Hoyer lift experience required for safe transfers
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation: $19 - $22 per hour
