Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The Hospice Nurse will provide end-of-life care and support to patients and their families in a hospice setting.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
- Educate patients and families on end-of-life care options
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Previous experience in hospice or palliative care preferred
- Knowledge of Athenahealth or similar electronic medical record systems
- Familiarity with medical office standards and procedures
- Understanding of behavioral health principles
- Experience in utilization management and occupational health
- Proficiency in airway management techniques
- Ability to work in high-stress environments such as ICU settings
- Skilled in administering injections
