Key Responsibilities:

• Build individualized, collaborative treatment alliances with patients
• Facilitate IOP and OP addiction treatment groups
• Conduct assessments and coordinate treatment planning and discharge
• Provide direct care for up to 50% of weekly hours
• Present addiction/recovery education to patients
• Collaborate with treatment teams to support co-occurring psychiatric needs
• Coordinate with families, providers, and referral sources
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation to meet state and CARF standards
• Utilize CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches
• Participate in regular clinical meetings and professional development
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment
• Strong clinical, verbal, and written communication skills
• Experience using electronic medical records
• Knowledge of various recovery modalities (e.g., SMART Recovery, 12-Step, Recovery Dharma)
• If in recovery, must have a minimum of 3 years’ continuous sobriety (5 preferred)

Required Licensure (Maryland):

• Trainee Level: ADT
• Addiction Counselor I: CSC-AD
• Addiction Counselor II: CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LMSW, LCADC, LCPC, LCSW, or LCSW-C

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
