CT/X Ray- Radiology
- General Certification Requirements:
BLS
- Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements:
ARRT, state license
- How many scanners/rooms does this department have?:
1 scanner
- Will they have to float/cover any other areas?:
Graveyard shift covers x-ray and CT.
- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties:
Trauma, strokes, small amount of outpatient, inpatient and ER, small amount of procedures.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills:
Trauma and stroke patient experience preferred. Preferred experience with equipment.
- Average # of scans/studies per day: 60-80
- What EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use?:
Meditech. DR merge but will be switching to Phillips.
- Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Siemens
- Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech?: Lead of the department on during the day.
- Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No
- Radiologist in-house 24/7?: From 8-5. Available by call.
- Do you have to start IV's?: Yes
