Job Description
The primary duty of this role is to provide administrative support to management and direct service providers.
The Administrative Assistant may also serve as the region or Corporate Office's receptionist.
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
- Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
- Operate and maintain office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers.
- Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer.
- Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.
- Enter data and track and produce reports as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
At minimum, a high school diploma is required. An Associate's degree in business or administrative support field is preferred, along with at least 1 year's work, intern, or volunteer experience in administrative/clerical work.
