The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description This position will assist and report to a Senior or Associate Accountant in the Bureau's Accounts Payable Unit coordinating the processing of invoices and vouchers for all DOH program areas. Duties include, but are not limited to: 1. ensure vendor invoices are processed for payment timely and accurately utilizing SFS e-settlements module; 2. act as a liaision between the Department and other agencies; 3. responsible for monitoring a shared mailbox, communicating with DOH staff, Business Services Center staff and Office of State Comptroller staff, ensuring requested documentation is provided; 4. answer questions and provide assistance to staff with transaction processing and training; 5. monitor status of invoice inventory performing analysis on transaction status; 6. provide guidance to program staff on resolving transaction errors and outstanding invoices.

Minimum Qualifications Competitive Minimum Qualifications: You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title, eligible under the 55 b/c program, or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 70.1 or 70.4 the Civil Service Law.For 70.1 or 70.4 transfer to an Accountant Aide, salary grade (SG)-13, you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55-b/55-c service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG-11 or above. SG-09 or above for a Trainee 2, SG-07 or above for a Trainee 1, depending on qualifications.Additional Requirements: You must have six credit hours in accounting, auditing, or taxation courses.
