Duties Description Responsible for collecting blood from patients through the performance of venipuncture, capillary puncture, and other techniques; process for reference laboratory, enters data concerning blood and urine samples, and test information into computer systems; maintains proper inventory of supplies and materials needed for the daily collection; cleans and maintains phlebotomy accessories and other related equipment. Other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience as a Phlebotomist or a certificate in Phlebotomy from a recognized college, school, training program, hospital, health care facility, or the Armed Services.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: One year phlebotomy experience in hospital setting.
