Job Summary
Remote, work from home opportunity for Certified Pharmacy Technicians who reside in New Hampshire or Texas. Spanish Speaking Preferred but not required. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:30-9:00pm ET Starting Salary: $20 per hour The Certified Pharmacy Technician as a Care Navigator I performs interactive telephonic outreach related to medication use, including but not limited to medication omissions in care, opioid safety reviews and barriers to medication adherence. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.
Job Responsibilities
  • Handling patient calls such as medication reconciliation and adherence for a variety of clients and programs to meet performance and quality standards and program goals using critical thinking skills.

  • Engage patients through motivational interviewing to assist patients in changing behaviors related to medication use and adherence.

  • Accurately complete all electronic documentation to ensure compliance with company standards, program goals, guidelines and government requirements

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers on patients behalf to address drug therapy problems

  • Participate in required trainings as assigned and support security and compliance related activities and task throughout execution of all job duties

qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Active Registration Board of Pharmacy with registration in good standing in state of residence and/or work location
Required
Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification in good standing via a National Certification Board such as Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians or (ICPT)National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Active Registration Board of Pharmacy with registration in good standing in state of residence and/or work location
Required
Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) Required
Excellent verbal and written skills in English; fluent in Spanish a plus Required
Experience with common medical and pharmacy terms and medication names (uses and pronounces) Required
Ability to use pharmaceutical references. Required
General knowledge of therapeutic categories and common indications of medications Required
Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency Required
Display a high degree of dependability in personal attendance and punctuality Required
Technology savvy; experience using Windows-based software including the Microsoft Office suite Required
Medicare Part D knowledge Preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
2 years of experience in Working as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare or retail pharmacy Required
1 year of experience in medication adherence at Health Dialog will substitute for 2 years pharmacy technician experience Required
1 year of experience working in call center setting or phone support role Preferred
