What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Revenue Reimbursement Analyst - Revenue Reimbursement position at Health First Careers?
The Associate Revenue/Reimbursement Analyst, under the immediate supervision of the Finance Manager, provides superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service and is primarily concerned with revenue and reimbursement analyses of financial information of Health First, Inc. and its affiliates. Additionally, this position will prepare detailed preliminary analysis of variances, and other routine and assigned tasks.
- Run daily stat reports and interfaces from the Revenue system to the General Ledger
- Responsible for balancing accounts receivable on a daily and monthly basis and preparation of
- schedule of AR days.
- Complete CDM additions, deletions and revisions for all clinical departments as assigned
- Record standard and adjusting entries at month end to book revenue and reserves at month
- end
- Record stats at month end for all clinical departments
- Draw up preliminary reimbursement analysis and identify variances to budget
- at month end for the Revenue/Reimbursement Analyst.
- Assist in the preparation of year end audit schedules on reserves of bad debt, charity, managed care reserves, and accounts receivable
- Properly record contractual adjustments & bad debt at month end
- Assist in analysis of gross and net revenue for smaller business units
- Assist with Charge Master maintenance
- Requests for information resolved within two working days with no more than 5 exceptions by the end of the 4th quarter
- Complete special projects with no more than 1 error in methodology or execution by end of the 4th quarter.
Work Experience
- BS degree in accounting, finance, or related field, from an accredited college or university required.
- Prior experience and knowledge in the use of software packages such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Windows.
- Up to two years healthcare experience in revenue/reimbursement analysis preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical/financial information system use.
- Enthusiasm and high level of job interest.
- Possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Possess computer abilities as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to relate well with all customers and peers
- Ability to prioritize and organize to maximize quality, value and service.
- Remain current on all financial regulations and standards.
- Knows fundamental clinical and financial concepts necessary to analyze revenue and reimbursement of service lines.
