Summary / Objective
In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Residents we serve; the Wound Care Nurses assess and treat patients with acute or chronic wounds. They are also called wound, ostomy and continence (WOC) nurses and often work with patients who have ostomies, pressure ulcers or diabetes. They consult with doctors and the patient's care team. Part of their role is also to educate the patient and patient's family on proper wound care to follow at home.
