Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests to assess patient vision and ocular health.
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Prescribe corrective lenses based on patient assessments and preferences.
- Educate patients about proper eye care, preventive measures, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients with systemic conditions affecting eye health.
- Conduct vision therapy and rehabilitation as part of treatment for various visual disorders.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness and preventative care strategies.
- Working in a School Base Clinical Settings
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state optometrist license to practice in the state of Montana.
- Experience in providing comprehensive optometric services in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ocular diseases and their management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on advancements in optometry.
