We have 11 clinics located throughout the River Region, 2 mobile clinics, and 4 school-based clinics in partnership with Montgomery Public Schools.
HSI is looking for an energetic Patient Account Representative to join our team. This position performs a variety of clerical and receptionist duties, to include but not limited to, greeting patients as they enter the facility, answering telephones, collecting necessary patient information and entering data, verifying insurance and collecting payment for services.
Job duties:
- Greet patients upon entry.
- Register patients in a timely manner, verify the patients’ insurance eligibility and collect payments as required.
- Counsel patients on sliding fee discount program, collect appropriate documentation and approve discount in accordance with program requirements.
- Schedule appointments in EPM, print appointment schedule for clinical staff and call patients in advance for appointment notification.
- Sort incoming mail and distribute accordingly.
- Maintain medical records and charts.
- Manage and balance cash drawer.
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Medical insurance experience highly preferred.
- Previous data entry experience in medical office setting helpful.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
