What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Technician or Aquatic Aide position at Health Star Physical Therapy?
Searching for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our team. We are an outpatient Physical Therapy/Aquatic Therapy facility located in the Eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. We have evening hours to accommodate our patients, so we are looking for an employee that would like to work one or two days per week that can work until approximately 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Brief job description of physical therapy technician or aquatic aide:
1. Set up of hot/cold packs - adhering to the Physical Therapist instructions.
2. Supervising patients during treatment.
3. Scheduling patients at the conclusion of treatments.
4. Escorting patients to and from treatment rooms.
5. Preparing patients for treatments by assisting them as they change
into gowns and helping the patient on to treatment tables.
6. Assisting patients in the aquatic center.
Potential candidate should possess the following attributes
1. Over one year experience as a physical therapy aide/technician.
2. Ability to supervise two or more patients simultaneously.
3. Knowledge of Physical Therapy terminology.
4. Respectful towards general population.
5. Positive, upbeat demeanor.
6. Experience in aquatic environment.
