We are looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to join our team in the Labor and Delivery department. The ideal candidate will have experience in labor and delivery nursing, as well as a strong understanding of the medical and surgical aspects of childbirth.
The primary responsibility of the Labor and Delivery RN is to provide direct patient care to women during labor and delivery. This includes monitoring the mother's vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with the delivery of the baby. The RN will also provide emotional support to the mother and her family.
In addition to providing direct patient care, the Labor and Delivery RN will also be responsible for:
- Documenting patient care in the medical record
- Communicating with other members of the healthcare team
- Coordinating patient care with other departments
- Providing education to patients and their families
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Registered Nurse license in the state of California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- One year of experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Strong understanding of the medical and surgical aspects of childbirth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
