Description
The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) is seeking a Director, Regulatory Affairs. Reporting to the Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Rural Health, this position will help coordinate HANYS' positions on state and federal regulatory matters. The position will also work with the Vice President on rural constituency concerns.
Additionally, this position will represent the HANYS membership on a diverse range of regulatory, health planning and policy initiatives affecting hospitals and health systems, including operational and surveillance issues, rural healthcare and healthcare reform. Specifically, the position holder will represent HANYS with policy making, legislative and regulatory bodies, including state and federal agencies and their advisory bodies.
This position will require an ability to be present in Albany with limited notice, especially when the New York State Legislature is in session. This is a hybrid position, with work time split between HANYS' headquarters in Rensselaer, New York, a remote home working environment within New York state.
The expected annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $100,000. The salary offered will be based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and, if applicable, consideration of internal equity.
Key responsibilities include :
- Actively participate in the development of HANYS' association-wide and divisional regulatory and rural advocacy agendas, including :
Maintain and track regulatory activity and communicate relevant information to the membership through member update emails, videoconferences, HANYS News and other communication methods.
