This position is part of the New York State Unified Court System's OCA Counsel's Office. The selected candidate will primarily provide legal support to the Honorable Judge, focusing on researching and analyzing complex legal issues and questions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping up-to-date with best practice policies and procedures regarding problem-solving courts. They will draft memorandums for distribution to judges and court staff, assisting in identifying areas for improvement and enhancement. Additionally, they will assist the Statewide Coordinating Judge with expanding and enhancing problem-solving courts and court operations. This includes identifying statewide training needs and preparing and/or presenting at such trainings. A minimum of five years of relevant legal experience is required.
