Our Southeast client is seeking a Gen AI Engineer (Healthcare Payor Data & Python Expert) to join their team early June on a mostly remote 6-month contract plus likely extensions. Travel may occur for project milestones.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying generative AI solutions that drive innovation and efficiency across healthcare claims processing, payment integrity, provider reimbursement, and member engagement.
This person should also be able to build RAG Models and Vector databases next to LLMs for high volume systems.
Required Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on healthcare payor data.
Expertise in Python and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, Hugging Face).
Strong understanding of claims adjudication, payment integrity, risk adjustment, and provider reimbursement.
Experience working with FHIR, HL7, X12 (EDI 837/835/270/271), and CMS payment models.
Proficiency in NLP, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
Familiarity with cloud AI services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive innovation in payer operations, compliance, and fraud detection.
