Job Summary :
Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus is looking for an upbeat, knowledgeable Dietary Manager to join our growing team. This individual must be motivated to complete their certification as a dietary manager which the facility will assist them through.
The dietary manager plans a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high quality nutritional care to our residents. This position requires a passion for enhancing the dining experience and a commitment to promoting health and well-bein through proper nutrition.
Work Environment :
This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.
Responsibilities :
- Nutritional Assessment : Conduct assessments of residents' dietary needs and preferences, collaborating with healthcare staff to create individualized meal plans.
- Menu Planning : Develop and implement nutritionally balanced menus that meet residents' dietary requirements, preferences, and regulatory standards.
- Supervision : Manage dietary staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure effective food service operations.
- Food Safety Compliance : Ensure all food safety and sanitation regulations are adhered to, including proper storage, preparation, and serving practices.
- Budget Management : Assist in managing the dietary department budget, controlling food costs, and minimizing waste while maintaining high-quality service.
- Resident Interaction : Foster a positive dining experience by interacting with residents, gathering feedback, and making adjustments to enhance satisfaction.
- Collaboration : Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing and therapy staff, to support residents’ overall health goals.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Previous experience in a food service or healthcare setting is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, and capability to handle hot and cold food items. Benefits :
