Long-Term Care Facility is seeking a Medical Records/Scheduling Coordinator to join our team
Medical Records/Scheduling Responsibilities:
Audits electronic medical records for proper, timely documentation required by state and company regulations.
Responsible for making sure that staffing requirements for every work shift are covered.
Coordinates with clinical and medical staff to ensure documentation is in the chart.
Maintains audit spreadsheet for each resident.
Maintains quality results by following state and facility standards.
Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Preparing and organizing work schedules for employees that include but are not limited to processing requested days off, assisting with adjusting the schedule as needed due to vacant positions and seeing that they are filled, verifying work hours, and scheduling agency staff if the need arises.
Maintains client confidence by keeping resident records information confidential.
Serves and protects the resident community by adhering to professional standards, facility policies & procedures, and federal, state & local requirements.
Enhances medical records and facility reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
The ability to input schedules and any adjustments into the timekeeping system.
Medical Records/Scheduling Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Experience in a similar role is preferred.
