Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrator to oversee the operations of our senior care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care, with a focus on developing care plans and providing exceptional support to residents, particularly those with dementia and memory care needs. This role is crucial in ensuring that our retirement home operates smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of care for our residents.

Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards in long-term care.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to provide high-quality senior care, including memory care and dementia support.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and financial transactions, demonstrating strong financial acumen.
  • Foster a positive environment for both residents and staff by promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans as necessary to enhance quality of life.
  • Ensure that all staff members are trained in best practices for senior care, including safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative role within a long-term care or senior living environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of care plans, dementia care, memory care, and overall senior care practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Financial acumen to handle budgeting and financial reporting related to facility operations.
  • Compassionate attitude towards seniors and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
  • A nursing background or relevant certifications in senior or home care is advantageous but not mandatory.
