Supply Chain Assistant - Contract to hire
Our Client :
Our client is a team of bioinformatics and assay development experts building a host-response-based diagnostics pipeline that includes tests for acute infection and sepsis, emerging infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, tropical infections, transplant rejection, and other conditions.
The Role :
The Supply Chain Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the supply chain function, ensuring seamless procurement, inventory tracking, and production scheduling in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ERP systems (Sage X3) and Excel to manage supply chain data efficiently.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist in procurement activities, including placing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Support production scheduling by coordinating material availability with manufacturing schedules.
- Enter and manage supply chain data in ERP systems (Sage X3) to ensure accurate reporting and real-time updates.
- Prepare and maintain reports on inventory levels, procurement activities, and production timelines.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including manufacturing, quality control, and finance, to streamline supply chain operations.
- Address supply chain issues proactively, working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve delays or shortages.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding procurement and inventory management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain process to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
