Responsibilities
Manages a large unit or multiple units providing ambulatory services. Ensures staff provides high quality, accessible, cost-effective care, and patient focused services to members across the continuum, which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. Develops and maintains clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development.
Oversee the daily operations of the Urology and Head and Neck service units, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care.
Lead and mentor a team of nursing professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, implementing improvement initiatives as necessary to enhance care delivery.
Manage departmental budgets, ensuring resource allocation aligns with financial objectives and service needs.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize clinical practices.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and accreditation standards, maintaining the highest level of service excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required, with a Master’s degree preferred.
Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, with at least two years in a leadership or management role.
Demonstrated expertise in urology and head and neck specialties is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records systems.
Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to best practices in patient care.
PALS, PEARS and / or ACLS certifications may be required for positions in specific departments.
Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, federal regulations.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to work in a Labor / Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum three (3) years of experience in an outpatient care setting.
