SCHEDULE - TUESDAY – FRIDAY 5PM - 3AM WITH ONE WORKING SATRUDAY EVERY 12-13 WEEKS
The Supervisor II, Laboratory (Lab) (Chemistry) is responsible for supervision over multiple functions which may include : oversight of laboratory testing for core lab, monitoring the workflow from sample processing to departmental workflow through results reporting, and may provide for day-to-day guidance on teammate performance.
This position evaluates and monitors compliance with service guarantees and specimen quality requirements.
Position ensures adherence to corporate standard policies and procedures related to job performance, customer interactions, teammate relations, and information confidentiality.
This position is a licensed technical supervisor and may work a designated shift; day / evening / night.
This position reports to the Manager, Laboratory (Lab).
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day lab operations while supporting a positive work atmosphere.
- Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are met with care and consistency.
- Supervise, guide, and inspire the team to achieve excellence in every task.
- Monitor equipment and supplies to keep the lab running efficiently and smoothly.

Qualifications
A strong background in laboratory procedures with hands-on expertise and a keen eye for detail.
Proven experience leading teams and coordinating daily lab activities in dynamic environments.
A passion for maintaining rigorous quality assurance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Minimum of 6-8 years experience as an Medical Technologist / Supervisor
Bachelors degree in Medical Technology, biological sciences or related field
FL Supervisors license in Chemistry
Certified by a professional laboratory certifying agency (i.e. ASCP, AMT)
Expertise in organizing workflows and optimizing resources for continuous improvement in lab operations.
Familiarity with modern lab instruments and the latest techniques in scientific research.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and support team members.
