Reagent Lab Technician
HealthCare Support is actively seeking Reagent Lab Technician to fill an opening in Salt Lake City, UTAH with a diagnostic laboratory company.
Daily Responsibilities for Reagent Lab Technician:
- Understands appropriate specimen collection, handling, and transport per departmental procedures.
- Processes, triages, routes, and stores specimens according to established departmental procedures.
- Evaluates specimens for acceptability and follows the appropriate procedures for specimens that do not meet acceptance criteria.
- Prepares, organizes, and reviews specimens for run set up according to departmental procedures. Ensures accurate sample order and patient identification.
- Location: onsite in Salt Lake City Utah 84108
- Shift will be M-F, between hours of 7:00am-3:00 pm MST, 30-40 hours/week
Required Qualifications for Reagent Lab Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass 10-panel drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and be on feet all day
- Ability to differentiate between different colors
- 1 years of manufacturing experience - prefer either in a lab or chemical setting
- Strong computer skills - need to be able to type 40 WPM.
