Job Description
Position Summary:
As the Quality Improvement Nurse, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring quality improvement initiatives including, but not limited to, development and implementation of preventive health and chronic disease outcome improvement interventions such as: newsletter articles, member education and outreach interventions, provider education, member outreach interventions, medical record reviews, focus groups, and surveys.
Hours for this Position: Monday-Friday daytime shift

- Evaluation of adherence to Early Periodic Screening
- Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) or Child Health Check-up Visits (CHCUP) requirements
- Provisions for continuity of care
- Adult preventive care rendered
- Identification of quality of care events
- Treatment for members with special health care needs
- Compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
- Compliance with coding practices
Qualifications
What We Look For:
- Clear and active RN or LPN license in state of Connecticut
- 3-5 years of Managed Care experience
- Knowledge of compliance, accreditation, service or quality improvement
- 2 years clinical experience
- Medical record review experience
