Responsible for coordinating and delivering work conditioning and early intervention services with the overall focus being prevention of work-related injuries. Works in close collaboration with the client to determine goals and priorities for the program and execute the program direction. Leads the team(s) responsible for daily delivery of all injury prevention programs and assessing their effectiveness of current interventions; enhancing delivery methods to achieve maximum program results and participant impact; completing accurate tracking and documentation of all encounters with client employees as well as creating reports for client; delivering injury prevention programs including but not lineated to pre-shift warm ups, ergonomic evaluations, early intervention programs, etc. within scope of position and deemed appropriate within client and OSHA guidelines.
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee onsite injury prevention team: carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HealthFitness policies, procedures and applicable laws including recruiting, orienting, training and evaluating; assists in the planning and assignment of work duties in collaboration with the client to ensure staff remain challenged and productivity is maximized; provides mentorship and assistance to all direct reports; conducts formal semi-annual performance appraisals and initiates formal corrective action process [when warranted].
- Interface with client, other company management, and peripheral departments, as appropriate to assess client needs and identify HealthFitness programming solutions.
- Deliver employee injury prevention programs: early intervention services when needed, education and training, Work Conditioning classes, lineside coaching, individual worksite assessments, root cause analysis, body mechanic coaching and well-being education.
- In close collaboration with the client and the client’s multi-disciplinary stakeholders (e.g. Medical, Safety, HR/Benefits, Management, Unions), support the development and implementation of interventions/programs as well as development of annual goals and metrics focused on the client environment.
- Collects program data to support the program; supports reporting the data for IPT services.
- Regular communication with Corporate IP&T Support for ongoing strategy, success of program, and service delivery review.
- Supports other onsite wellbeing program initiatives as necessary.
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Athletic Training.
- Board Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC) Certification.
- Possess active state athletic training licensure.
- 5 years’ experience in athletic training.
- Minimum 2 years Supervisory/Staff management experience.
- CPR/AED/FA certification.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team towards collective goals and strategy.
- Proven ability to collaborate, integrate, and partner with multidisciplinary teams/departments.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
- Ability to travel to other client locations.
- Ability to effectively work independently or as part of a team.
