Role: IT Support Specialist
Type: Part-Time 
Hours: 15 to 20 hours a week, flexible schedule
Location: In-office in St. Petersburg, FL

We are looking to add an IT Support Specialist to the team! 

In this role you will be responsible for the support of end-user desktops, laptops, software, and break/fix services. Troubleshoot and repair computer systems and peripheral equipment, by responding to incidents and service requests either in person, by telephone, or via remote access. Provide timely resolution of incidents or escalations on behalf of the customer, to appropriate technical staff.

Responsibilities: 
  • Process incidents and service requests
  • Monitor ticket queue and handle tickets to ensure incidents and service requests are addressed promptly
  • Comply with standard processes and procedures
  • Maintain a strong customer service focus and a desire to interact with end-users successfully
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Maintain a commitment to continuous process improvement
  • Administer Google enterprise account for a 50 user company
  • Manage Google Windows device management console
  • Make complex ideas or situations clear, simple, and/or understandable
  • Ensure deployment of laptops for new employees and contractors
  • Process returned laptops and restore to deploy ready state
  • Maintain working knowledge of remote connectivity software
  • Provide input and assist in testing and selection of future technologies and devices
  • Assist in administering Microsoft device management software and Google admin console for Google Workspace
Qualifications:
  • Certifications: 
    • CompTIA A  or equivalent certification required - and/or 
    • Google IT Support Certificate
  • A degree in Computer Information Technology is preferred
  • 2 years' experience in a related field preferred
  • Preferred experience supporting end-user base of 50 employees
  • Working knowledge in:
    • Personal computer technology;
    • Computer equipment;
    • Application software and personal computer operating systems;
  • Working knowledge in:
    • Installing and maintaining PC hardware and software 
    • Wireless systems
    • Remote support
  • Considerable skill in:
    • Communicating with technical and non-technical individuals concerning computer systems and software issues
  • Working Skill in:
    • Designing and preparing various reports as required
    • Planning, organizing, and prioritizing assigned projects
    • Establishing time schedules
Knowledge Skills, and Abilities:
  • Superior customer service
  • Excellent listening skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong reporting and follow-up skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to innovate and problem-solve
