Process Control Tech
- Location: Memphis
Identify capacity needs
Assessing obtained (forecast) data from Customer Care/DC Planning for correctness and completeness and inquiring about missing data
(Have) capacity needs determined on the basis of forecast and productivity standards
Perform process time studies when required
Processing information from Customer Care/DC Planning to the production plan and coordinating with Supervisor Warehouse and Workforce Specialist
Discussing production plan with the operation
Analyzing productivity
Analyzing long(er) term forecast

Perform process time studies when required

Processed orders and requests
Assist with processing inbound orders and returns, unloading trucks, receiving, sorting, placing
Assist with processing outbound orders (picking, pulling materials, preparing & packing boxes and placing orders in delivery area, shipping, loading)
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
Assist with wrapping orders and place them on trucks for delivery
Registering transactions in warehouse management system
Assist with physical counts of inventory
Understand the prioritization of clients and learn all SLAs (service-level agreements)
Performing kitting and rework activities
Create and apply quality approved labels under strict guidance from the FDA and client regulations
Perform firmware/hardware upgrades under strict guidance from the FDA and client regulations
Testing and reformatting of hard drive and software
Clean tested devices and inspect for any cosmetic damages
Ensure all proper accessories and components are included to complete the devices
Validate accuracy of the final kitted products and label as specified
Prepare products in advance of shipping
Reporting stock differences and damages goods
Recommending improvements
Deliver supplies and equipment to other departments within the company by receiving and transferring items

Monitor process KPIs
- Develop and monitor metrics that demonstrate quality, time, or cost performance
- Monitor customer process changes and implement them in the operation
- Identifying bottlenecks in the operational process and correcting them in consultation with manager and Supervisor Warehouse
- Informing Customer Care/DC Planning about the progress of the operation and aligning priorities in order to manage customer expectations
- Supporting warehouse manager in establishing and adjusting resource planning
- Ensure coordination of various sub-processes
Process Improvement and Optimization
Align with Quality Assurance and Process Control Engineer to deliver end-to-end cost-effective solutions
Create and analyze value stream maps
Creation of artifacts for performance improvement.
Supporting team members in creation of data visualizations to demonstrate performance (presentations)
Management and communication with key stakeholders across the business

Being the first point of contact for warehouse employees
Identify opportunities for additional staff training, notify Department Manager, and plan and deliver as assigned

Job requirements
Education, knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years proven experience with LSS/Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Highly skilled with automated information systems
- Very proficient with MS Office
- English spoken and written
- Knowledge of lean – sigma tools is preferred
- Knowledge of medical industry is a plus
