Position : Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health

Location : Phoenix, AZ (some travel around Phoenix / West Valley areas)

Schedule : Full-Time

Work Environment : Residential Treatment Center

Compensation : $24 - $26 per hour

A Day in the Life

  • Assist physicians, psychiatrists, and healthcare professionals in delivering care in a residential treatment center setting
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure clinical standards are met
  • Take and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient health information
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects
  • Provide patient education on behavioral health condition management
  • Maintain secure and accurate patient records
  • Assist with patient transfers and positioning when necessary
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals
  • Act as a liaison between patients and care providers
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and place necessary orders
  • Participate in staff meetings and training programs

    What You Bring to the Team

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
  • 1-2 years of experience (ideally in behavioral health)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
