We are searching for a Medical Billing Specialist with an interest in healthcare, who is looking to advance their career and knowledge. The ideal candidate has an understanding of medical terminology, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful Billing Specialist will interact with providers, insurance companies and patients and is expected to develop state-of-the-art billing policies.
Responsibilities:
- Make sure that all medical records are properly filed/submitted.
- Enter demographic & financial information into a computer system.
- Monitor payments and refunds in accounts payable and receivables.
- Conduct medical research.
- Process medical insurance claims.
- Review insurance policies and coverage.
- Check for errors in diagnoses and treatments.
- Check for errors in insurance billing systems.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $18.00- $22.00 per hour

Education:
- Associate's degree (Minium)
- AAPC Certificate (Preferred)
