Position Title: Vice President of Sales – Health Insurance Brokers Location: [Remote] Reports To: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Position Summary: The Vice President of Sales will lead the sales strategy, team development, and revenue generation efforts targeted at health insurance stakeholders. As a visionary leader, you will shape a high-performance sales culture, build relationships with key stakeholders, and identify growth opportunities to establish the company as a market leader in health insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to health insurance brokers to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a national sales team to deliver exceptional performance and build lasting client relationships.
- Build and maintain partnerships with health insurance brokers, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with broader company objectives.
- Drive customer acquisition and retention efforts through innovative and strategic approaches.
- Establish and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a senior sales leader in the health insurance or broader insurance industry.
- Familiarity with medical stop-loss, reinsurance, and related products, including underwriting principles and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with specialty medical networks
- Deep understanding of the health insurance brokerage landscape and established relationships in the field.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating large and small sales teams.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
