Job Overview

    

North County Serenity House, A Program of HealthRIGHT 360 was founded in 1966 to provide substance use disorder services in the community.  North County Serenity House provides a gender-responsive and trauma-informed environment, using evidence-based and best practices that recognize and account for the role that trauma frequently plays in substance use and criminal histories of women. For clients with co-occurring mental illness, we provide integrated substance use and mental health services which treat both conditions as primary. Our residential facility serves up to 120 women (with capacity for up to 20 children under 5 years of age) seeking recovery from substance use disorders.

Admissions Coordinators are responsible for overseeing all aspects of participant entry into residential services. Assessing participant needs and strengths in support of health and recovery, overseeing orientation to programmatic culture and structure, and managing communication with referral sources. They also are responsible for planning and coordinating community events and sober activities. The Admissions Coordinators are expected to communicate with appropriate funders, and HealthRIGHT 360 personnel. Providing high quality customer service, Admissions Coordinators welcome participants to NCSH residential services and accurately enters information into various electronic systems to complete the admissions process.

         

Key Responsibilities

    

  • Welcomes participants to NCSH behavioral health services and provides high quality customer service.
  • Assesses participants for treatment needs and identifies and coordinates any social, legal, medical, or other services needed. Assesses and refers participants to appropriate levels of care.
  • Ensures all required paperwork is completed accurately and within required time frames. Utilizes appropriate electronic systems to enter bed nights, and keep accurate records of intake dates, discharge dates and child count on-site to ensure program is in compliance with business license.
  • Maintains adult and children Drug Medi-Cal, (DMC) licenser requirements while best accommodating participant’s needs for visitations and overnights. Coordinates program entry in compliance with contract prioritization.
  • Monitors program utilization to assure maximization of contract capacity. Reports on utilization weekly.
  • Compares contract utilization reports with electronic health records to assure accuracy.
  • Ensure that all clinical documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner and entered into the various electronic systems.
  • Comply with agency’s policies and procedures. Attend and actively participate in internal and outside meetings as assigned. Ensure providing quality treatment through compliance with training requirements.
  • Arrange work schedule in accordance with agency’s needs which may include weekends, overnights, and holidays.
  • Meet expected performance standards as assigned by supervisor.

 

         

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    

  • Registration with Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).  
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • CPR Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • A valid California driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Must not be on active parole or probation.  
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility and reliability are imperative.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
