What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller position at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness?
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
This position handles most day-to-day accounting responsibilities – including both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, as well as financial reporting and analysis for multiple properties. Will assist CFO with any special project requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Classifies, summarizes and records transactions in the financial management system, including journal entries, debits, and credits in accordance with required accounting standards.
· Performs bank reconciliation of all accounts.
· Maintains multiple properties general ledgers.
· Monthly Invoicing of Sub-tenants
· Complete All Sales Tax Returns
· Performs monthly closing procedures, including monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
· Assists CFO with year-end audits and tax return preparation
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
· Year End 1099’s
· Support Payroll and Benefits as needed
· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred but will consider level of experience
· Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet and MS Office
· Able to work independently, self-motivated, takes ownership
