Job Summary And Qualifications
As the Lab Manager - Contracts, you are responsible for advancing the lab contracting projects by negotiating industry leading national agreements for HCA focused on lab services, equipment, and expense and improving sourcing processes, while ensuring the best-in-class industry pricing and contract terms and conditions. Your key area of focus will be sourcing initiatives and contracting project management.

Job Summary And Qualifications
As the Lab Manager - Contracts, you are responsible for advancing the lab contracting projects by negotiating industry leading national agreements for HCA focused on lab services, equipment, and expense and improving sourcing processes, while ensuring the best-in-class industry pricing and contract terms and conditions. Your key area of focus will be sourcing initiatives and contracting project management.
What you will do in this role:
- Project Management: Plan and execute project timelines for assigned categories, with guidance from manager.
- Category Knowledge: Understanding or demonstrated ability to learn in-depth aspects of portfolio: features and benefits, comparisons between supplier offerings, operational impact to provider, interpretation and use of market information provided by global sourcing team, etc.
- Supplier Knowledge: Develop and use knowledge about supplier to develop strategies, create leverage, mitigate risks, anticipate direction of the market and potential supplier direction.
- Strategy Development and Project Management: Develop the strategy with the guidance of their managers (direct and indirect) and in collaboration with HCA Lab Services.
- Sourcing Process: Understanding and accountability for the sourcing process for their assigned portfolio: market research, bid preparation, RFI, Strategy Development & Validation, RFP, Contract Negotiations, contract launch, equipment installation, and ongoing service needs.
- Customer Relations: Build strong customer relationships through frequent interaction (all levels, including executive).
- Communications: Effective and efficient communications with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and suppliers.
- Collaboration throughout sourcing process with HCA Lab Services operations leaders, contracting leadership, legal staff, financial and contract analysts, etc.
- Accredited College Bachelor's Degree required (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance) is required.
- 3 years of relevant work experience. Ideal candidate will have experience in strategic sourcing and negotiating a variety of contracts and/or lab operations is required
- Strategic sourcing experience is required
- Contract management and negotiation experience is required
- Supply chain operations experience is preferred
- Materials management/purchasing experience is preferred
- Contracting financial analysis experience is preferred
- Healthcare and Lab Services knowledge experience is preferred
