Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. The Child Care Teacher will be responsible for developing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social development while ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in their care. They will need to work well with other teachers. Understanding the kids come first.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children.
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques.
- Encourage children's curiosity and creativity through hands-on activities and play-based learning.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations within the childcare setting.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Experience
- AA degree or higher in early childhood or related field
- Previous experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers or as an assistant teacher
- Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices is essential.
- Experience in infant care, toddler care, or preschool teaching will be highly regarded.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents, and team members.
