We are seeking a Subsidy Specialist to join our dynamic Subsidy Team. As the first point of contact for families seeking tuition assistance, you’ll manage the childcare approval, billing, and payment processes with subsidy programs across multiple states.
PAY: $19-$20/hour
HOURS: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–3 PM
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

Responsibilities
As a Subsidy Specialist, you will:
- Oversee the childcare subsidy program for Healthy Kids sites, including:
- Registering new sites to accept subsidies.
- Renewing and maintaining existing registrations.
- Completing requests from state subsidy agencies.
- Billing agencies and reconciling payments from parents and agencies.
- Cultivate strong relationships with families through clear, responsive communication.
- Collaborate with caseworkers to ensure seamless processes.
- Utilize state subsidy systems like CCTA and Kinder Connect with proficiency.
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation for each child receiving assistance.
- Handle a high volume of emails and phone calls efficiently.
- Demonstrate exceptional service and a commitment to making a positive impact.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven customer service experience or similar roles (e.g., client service representative or caseworker).
- Strong phone communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to adapt to various personalities and situations.
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with data entry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English, with effective reading and communication skills.
- Team player with a willingness to adjust to evolving workflows and processes.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
