Have you been an Office Manager previously within the healthcare field? Do you have a passion for people and mental health? We are a private practice Psychiatry clinic which specializes in general psychiatry and addiction treatment. Here, you have an exciting opportunity to both work closely and collaborate with the psychiatrist, but also to ensure that patients complete their appointments in a timely fashion and are provided exceptional care. This is a part-time position which can be very beneficial to the right individual, both from a work-life balance perspective, but also concerning work-life, itself, as we are a small, "tight-knit" environment where people are valued and the work pace is very manageable ranging from medium to busy, but ordinarily not overly busy on a constant basis. This is also a 1099 Contract position, but it is not a temporary position. This is also a sedentary position, but there are ample opportunities to move around as needed.
We are looking for someone with a positive personality, a proactive work ethic, very attentive to detail, not easily stressed, who can multi-task without getting overwhelmed, and who has the ability to remain firm in assuring program requirements are consistently met. Our current hours of operation are: Monday and Friday from 9-12, Tuesday and Wednesday from 12-6, and Thursday 9-2. Prior office experience and health care experience is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a smooth office atmosphere
- Coordinating telehealths with the Psychiatrist
- Ensuring completion of patient charts
- Scheduling patients
- Electronically sending in prescriptions
- Discussing patients' needs with the Psychiatrist
- Urine drug screening (verifying /- status)
- Completing and creating new Excel reports as needed
- Submitting prior authorizations in a timely fashion
- Performing patient intakes/screening
- Reordering of office supplies
- Processing payments
- Management and training of staff
Qualifications:
- Proven office management experience with a strong background in clerical and administrative tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Effective methods of problem resolution.
- Experience in supervision or management of staff.
- Knowledge of medical office management and proficiency in multi-line phone systems.
- Ability to train and develop staff
- Can work proficiently independently or in a team atmosphere
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 per hour
