Role Description:
Wellness is at the heart of our store. The Wellness Associate is responsible for actively assisting customers while providing sincere and knowledgeable information regarding Health and Wellness. Wellness Staff do not diagnose or prescribe but provide options and complete research regarding health-related questions for customers. Wellness Staff ensure that the proper department protocols and procedures are always followed when receiving orders, stocking product accurately, and meticulously maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the department. In addition, Wellness Associates display a mature, responsible, and compassionate demeanor while exemplifying and providing genuine “extra mile” service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
Shift:
- The schedule for the role consists of Mondays (morning/daytime availability preferred), and Tuesdays generally from 3pm-9pm. Open to additional hours, weekend days preferred.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
• A solid interest in, and basic knowledge of, Alternative Health and Wellness
• Knowledge of product; vitamins, supplements, and body care
• Knowledge of legalities regarding information provided to guests on health-related issues/questions
• Creativity and passion for the product (vitamins/supplements & body care)
• Basic math skills and computer proficiency
• Strong leadership skills
• High energy and an ability to work in a demanding environment
• Self-management and an ability to remain calm under any stressful situation
• Ability to communicate with various types of people (written, verbal, demonstration)
• Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Approach-ability; works effectively and relates well with others
• Patience and confidentiality
• Scheduling flexibility and consistency to meet the needs of the department; mornings/evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to follow-through on commitments and/or verbal instruction
• Act as a role model and team player, being a self-starter and takes ownership to deliver spectacular results/goals
• Goes the extra mile for customers and maintains the highest standards of courteous, professional customer service and sensitivity to customer’s and co-workers needs
• Strives to continually progress skill set and education and stay informed regarding new products and industry trends
Pay Statement
This position is part-time with the minimum and maximum starting range of $15.00-$16.29 per hour
