- Process weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with daily entries and reconciliations for the general ledger.
- Support the management of accounts related to medical receivables, capital assets, and payroll.
- Help prepare and review journal entries.
- Participate in month-end closing processes by compiling data and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
- Assist in analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in generating basic financial reporting and reconciliation of EMR data to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with clinical and finance teams.
- Support the Accounts Payable team by reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in processing payments and reconciling vendor statements.
- Help resolve discrepancies in accounts payable under supervision.
- Assist in the preparation of basic state and local tax filings, including sales and use taxes.
- Ensure timely submission of filings and maintain organized tax records.
- Support the team during audits and help gather required documentation.
- Provide basic support during mergers and acquisitions, including assisting with financial due diligence tasks.
- Help integrate financial data from acquired companies into existing accounting systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite is a plus. Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
- Willingness to learn about state and local tax regulations.
- Strong interest in healthcare finance and patient accounting systems (EMR).
