Welcome to the Hearing and Speech Center of Florida, an 88 year old non for profit serving individuals with Educational and disability needs. We are Miami-Dade County’s largest not for profit provider of hearing and therapy services. We are also full service providers and offer our clients Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Educational and Behavior Therapy. We have educational programs and offer trainings to parents and Teachers throughout the year in which our professional staff train the community. We also have a full practice for center based services and have community sites throughout the county at various locations such as schools, hospitals and more.
Job Description
We are seeking a candidate who has experiences in a medical practice working as a front desk team member and direct experience with full patient revenue cycle: verification, authorization, and billing who has comprehension of workflow of a medical office setting and has used an EMR system. Must be able to multitask, be personable, friendly, organized and have excellent customer service skills. Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with both excellent oral and written communication skills. The PCC is responsbile for patient authorziation and scheduling assurances.
Qualifications
Must understand and know how to manage the following:
-customer service-answering phones, working with other medical practices, confirming appointment
-referral & authorization process/verifications of insurances-MMA (Medicaid insurances)
-handling patient payments
-entering data entry in EHR system and keeping track of all due dates and renewals
-Client scheduling and managements of appointments (checking patients in/out)
-understanding/explanation of patient benefits
-self organization, charting, and data entry into medical management.
-great communications with team & families are a critical part of the position.
-facilitating documentation needed for grant reporting
-must know outlook, excel, and word computer programs.
-experience with Practice Perfect Software a plus!
