Our dynamic team of professionals in Canton Michigan and Windsor Ontario specializes in transportation containment and production/assembly , are seeking a candidate for the role of “Employee Relations Coordinator” to manage and grow our customer base through strategic partnerships with internal and external clients.
Employee Relations Coordinator

· Ability to communicate with a diverse population of candidates and employees
· Experience with Staff onboarding and off boarding
Job Duties are the following but not limited to:
· Develops relationships with the employees and assist in any concerns they may have and report to local Management or Corporate Management if needed
· Manage group benefit enrollments, terminations and adjustments
· Manage company retirement plans
· Ensuring that all government policies and procedures are being followed within the company and that Site Location Employee Handbooks are kept up to date with current regulations, company policies.
· Utilize Microsoft Applications and outlook on a daily basis to accomplish tasks that have been set out my immediate manager
· Updating HIS system for attendance issues and or any disciplinary notices daily
· Setting up Employee Morale events within the company and sending to the other sites appointed admin
· Review company incident reports and manage workers compensation claims as needed
· Liaison between the payroll department and employees
· Assist in handling employee hot line phone calls and general support in conflict resolution regarding the Union labor force
· Fielding questions and issues on the labor forces FMLA, benefits and general HR inquiries
· Willingness to travel within the Michigan and Windsor Ontario sites
· Equitable administration of the collective agreement including grievance administration, interpretation, and overall compliance
· Facilitating effective management / union relations
· Support each site discipline assessment
· EEOC and other workplace investigations
· Coaching, guiding and providing direction to operating management on assigned shift
· Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve performance
Required skills, knowledge and abilities
· Post-secondary in Business Administration is preferred
· Minimum 2 years work related experience
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· MS Office experience, knowledge of internal databases, and/or logistics software

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
